After Aqua City, the NIG–BSQUARE consortium signs a comprehensive partnership with TTC Group
One month after breaking ground on a 557-home package at Aqua City, the NIG–BSQUARE consortium has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with TTC Group and expects to act as design-and-build contractor on several of the group’s projects. On 12 October, the parties held a further signing ceremony in Tianjin, China.

On 28 September 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, TTC Group and the Northern International Group (NIG)–BSQUARE consortium signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. According to information announced at the ceremony, the consortium expects to provide integrated One-Stop solutions, including interior fit-out for sub-zones of the Selavia Phu Quoc development.
Earlier, on 27 August, the consortium broke ground on a package of 557 low-rise homes at Phoenix North, Phoenix Island, Aqua City, as the main contractor selected by Novaland. The two consecutive milestones show the direction BSQUARE Joint Stock Company is pursuing: acting as the single point of contact that brings international partners’ design, supply and construction capabilities into Vietnamese projects, and taking responsibility through to delivery.
Not a carbon copy
Speaking at the signing in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr Bruce Zhang, Chief Executive Officer of BSQUARE Joint Stock Company and Chief Representative of NIG in Vietnam, said the consortium was formed with two clearly defined roles. NIG aggregates resources from China, connecting design institutes, general contractors, materials and equipment. BSQUARE is the local platform and delivery lead in Vietnam, with a working knowledge of the country’s laws, building standards, market practices and domestic supply chain. BSQUARE completes the “last mile”, from Chinese resources to delivery on the ground.
In his view, when “China’s industrial resource advantages and BSQUARE’s local delivery capability” are closely combined with TTC’s project pipeline and operating capability in Vietnam, the parties can complement one another’s strengths.

“What we want to stress is that we are not bringing China’s experience to Vietnam as a carbon copy,” he said. Every solution, he added, has to be adapted and localised to Vietnam’s policy environment, market needs and cultural characteristics.
Starting from Selavia, the cooperation is expected to expand step by step into tourism and suitable real estate projects, industrial parks, warehousing and port zones, as well as investment promotion and international connections.
Mr Dang Van Thanh, Chairman of TTC Group, described the agreement as strategic and said he expects it to lay the groundwork for the parties to pursue cooperation opportunities on the basis of shared interests and green development.
International resources, a platform in Vietnam
NIG is a state-owned foreign trade group from Tianjin, with more than 140 member enterprises and a trading network spanning more than 160 countries and territories.
Beyond NIG, BSQUARE works with the Tianjin Architecture Design Institute (TADI) on design and with OPPEIN on custom furnishings. The company is building an end-to-end solution model that runs from planning, design and supply through to construction, fit-out and handover.
BSQUARE has delivered interior design and fit-out at Waterpoint for Nam Long and Blanca City for Sun Group, as well as loose furniture at Lumière Evergreen for Masterise Homes.
On 27 August, BSQUARE hosted a delegation of Chinese enterprises and representatives of the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC) at the OPPEIN by BSQUARE showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by a forum connecting supply chains for construction projects in Vietnam.
From signing to delivery
The cooperation with TTC will be defined programme by programme, project by project and phase by phase. “In the end, the value of a strategy has to be proven by what is delivered,” Mr Bruce Zhang said.
Two weeks later, on 12 October, a comprehensive cooperation signing between TTC Group, NIG and BSQUARE took place at NIG’s headquarters in Tianjin, during a TTC delegation’s working visit to China. Tianjin is also where BSQUARE and NIG signed their framework cooperation agreement in July 2024, the start of the partnership between the two companies.

Closing his remarks in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr Bruce Zhang cited the Chinese idiom “tong zhou gong ji” and its Vietnamese counterpart “cùng hội cùng thuyền”: once in the same boat, everyone must pull together and row forward. “Today’s agreement is not the end of our cooperation but the beginning of a shared journey. Today’s signature is only the first stroke of the oar,” he said.
